Privacy policy

Your privacy matters.

Last updated October 2026.

Cherubs Academy Pty Ltd (“Cherubs Academy”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information about enrolled children and families is also handled under our centre policies and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations; please ask us for a copy of our enrolment privacy policy.

What we collect

  • Messages you send us through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and your message.
  • Job applications: your name, contact details, the role you’re interested in, and the cover letter and CV you upload.
  • Tour bookings, enquiries, waitlist requests and enrolments: these forms are provided by OWNA, our childcare management system, and the information you enter is collected and stored by OWNA on our behalf. The enrolment form also asks for your child’s health information, Medicare and Centrelink details, and supporting documents.
  • How the website is used: the pages you view, the website or link that brought you here, your type of device, and actions such as tapping our phone number or starting one of the forms above. We don’t use cookies for this. Your IP address is only used to make a code that changes every day and is never stored, so these records can’t identify you or link your visits on different days. They are deleted after about two years.

How we use it

We use your information only to respond to you, arrange tours, manage enquiries, enrolments and waitlists, and assess job applications. Website usage records are only looked at in total, to see how families find us and how we can improve the site. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to provide our services, with:

  • OWNA, which hosts our enquiry, waitlist and enrolment forms;
  • Google and Meta, through the advertising and analytics tools described below;
  • our email delivery provider, which sends website messages and applications to our team;
  • our website host, which stores contact messages and job applications in a database that only our staff can access, through a dashboard protected by our Microsoft 365 sign-in;
  • government agencies where required by law, for example for Child Care Subsidy or regulatory purposes.

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Embedded content

Pages on this site include a Google Map, Matterport virtual tours and OWNA forms. When you view or use them, those services may collect information such as your IP address and set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies. The virtual tours load only when you choose to start one.

Advertising and analytics cookies

Our marketing agency uses Google Tag Manager on this website to run measurement and advertising tools from Google (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). These use cookies and similar technology to count visits, see which of our ads lead families to contact us, and may show our ads to people who have visited this site. Google and Meta collect information such as your IP address, device and the pages you view under their own privacy policies.

You can turn off personalised ads in your Google and Meta ad settings, or block cookies in your browser. The website still works without them.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it or as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting us on 07 3808 2771, through our contact form, or in person at 11–13 Leichhardt Street, Logan Central QLD 4114. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
