Learning in Senior Kindy

What we nurture in the Senior Kindy room.

  1. 01

    Curious Thinkers

Our Senior Kindy children are busy problem-solvers, building cognitive skills through puzzles, questions, storytelling, and social play. We encourage their curiosity as they begin to understand how the world works.

  2. 02

    Growing Emotional Awareness

Emotions at this stage become more layered, and we support children to name, express, and manage their feelings. Through nurturing interactions, they develop a stronger sense of identity and belonging.

  3. 03

    Confident Social Explorers

Senior Kindy is a time of deepening friendships and collaborative play. We guide children in listening, taking turns, and resolving small conflicts, all while building emotional resilience and independence.

  4. 04

    Strong Bodies, Expressive Minds

Physical play helps children grow in coordination, strength, and confidence. Whether they’re climbing, dancing, or creating through movement, they learn to express themselves joyfully and with purpose.

For parents

What our parents can expect.

  1. 01

    Hands-on problem solvers

With construction zones, sensory trays, and open-ended materials, children are encouraged to build, experiment, and organise—laying the foundation for problem-solving and independent thinking.

  2. 02

    Learning through relationships

Children are supported to navigate friendships with kindness. We guide them gently through conflict resolution, turn-taking, and empathy—helping them grow emotionally and socially.

  3. 03

    Creative little thinkers

Through painting, crafting, and hands-on design, children express themselves freely while refining fine motor skills in a joyful, supportive environment.

  4. 04

    Early learners in action

Literacy and numeracy learning is woven into play, with storytime, counting games, rhymes, and discovery-based experiences that spark a lifelong love of learning.

  5. 05

    Big moves, strong bodies

Climbing, running, and navigating obstacle courses help Senior Kindy children strengthen coordination and build the physical confidence needed for school readiness.
