FAQ
Questions, answered.
Finding the right child care is a big decision, so we want you to have the information you need. Can’t see your question? Call us on 07 3808 2771.
01What are your operating hours?
We’re open from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, to accommodate the schedules of working parents. If you have any other questions about our hours, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
02What ages do you care for?
We care for children from the nursery years through to school age: Nursery (0–18 months), Toddler (15 months–2 years), Junior Kindy (2–3 years), Senior Kindy (3–4 years), Kindergarten (4–5 years), and Outside School Hours Care for children 5 years and up.
03Do you offer meals and snacks?
Yes. Providing nutritious meals and snacks is a top priority. We prepare healthy, freshly cooked meals on site, provide halal food options, and serve morning and afternoon snacks. Please let us know if your child has any dietary requirements or food allergies, and we’ll be happy to accommodate them.
04What is your policy on illness and absences?
The health and wellbeing of the children in our care is our utmost concern. If your child is unwell, we ask that you keep them at home until they have fully recovered. This helps prevent the spread of illness and ensures the comfort of all children. For planned absences, such as holidays, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
05Is Free Kindy available?
Yes. Cherubs Academy is a Queensland Government-approved Free Kindy program. Eligible children receive 15 hours of kindy a week across three days, for 40 weeks of the year, free. Care outside those hours is paid for separately, and you can use your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Conditions apply.
06Do you offer before and after school care?
Yes. Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program offers a safe, fun, and supportive environment for school-aged children before and after school, and our Vacation Care program runs during school holidays.
07How will I know how my child’s day went?
We share real-time updates, daily reports, and photos throughout the day, so you always feel connected to your child’s learning and care.
08Can I see the centre before I visit?
Absolutely. You can walk through both of our centres in 3D on our Virtual Tour page, then book a personal, obligation-free tour to meet our educators in person.
